Presents Galore!
We celebrated Dakota's 5th birthday and Cheyenne's 3rd birthday on Saturday, June 28th. (Both girls have the same birthday: June 25th, in case you didn't know.) We had a blast!! We went to the Jonesboro YMCA and had a swim party. Kathy Montgomery, Brad's mom, put the whole party together. The theme was a Hawaiin beach party. Dakota had a blast while Cheyennie sat in shock for awhile during the birthday song. I think Cheyenne was a bit overwhelmed with all the attention.
After the cake and presents we went in the olympic sized pool. Cheyenne and Dakota both wore life jackets. Dakota was quite scared of the water. Cheyenne wasn't as afraid. Dakota was learning about floating. (Her grandma Kathy took great care of her!) I held Cheyenne and taught her how to kick and paddle. Cheyennie just giggled and laughed. The day was so grand!
Now about the presents. The girls received so many presents: barbies, dolls, stickers, side walk chalk, bubbles, stamps, makeup cases, and more! But of all the presents the biggest hit was a "walmart shopping cart" filled with groceries. Cheyenne has been pushing this cart around the house non-stop.
Brad bought Dakota a real guitar sized for her! She received her first lesson last night.
Now that the weekend is over and the celebration has finally ended I need to try to figure out what to do with all the presents.
God has richly blessed us.
I want to send a special thank you to Brad's mom for making the girl's birthday a real hit!!
