The Grand Opening of SASY
I couldn't have asked for more splendid turnout at the Grand Opening of Surrender And Strength Yoga. Mary Sudduth, my teacher, was there and I was able to dedicate the studio to her. Her teacher, my grand-teacher, Arline Jernigan, was also there. The owner of Breathe, Hannah Phillips, and her mom Jan also came. Mary brought several of her friends with her. Brad's mom, Kathy, also came. The room was filled with love and warmth. The people who have inspired me and stood by me through so much of my suffering were all there. Lisa Shaffer and, of course, my best friend Ann Collard were part of the joy. I must give all the glory to my heavenly Father. I can see that it was His love that brought us all together today. I am still basking in the memories of today's practice. I taught a class without any script. What came out was a vision of being underwater and surrendering to the waves of the movements. I also envisioned the beautiful arrays of light that can be seen underwater. The video here is the best I could find that could describe the theme of today's yoga practice.
I feel truly blessed today.
